console-based web search

I'm looking for a utility (or collection of scripts, iirc) that allows one to perform web searches from the command line. e.g.:

[thoth@kawasemi[5740]:~]% google vobcopy

would spawn a w3m (or other text-based browser) with the search results. Now, I understand this can be done pretty easily with some aliases and/or helper scripts, but I was *certain* I had found this utility on a previous install and it did some other nifty stuff. In fact, I thought it was in the repos or AUR, although all my searches have produced nothing. Anybody else know what I'm talking about?

Re: console-based web search

That would probably be Surfraw. It's in community, but the description is rather non-descriptive so I'm not surprised you didn't find it.
