Problems with Nvidia and GDM.

Wasted 4+ hours with ChatGPT and Gemini and still not getting anywhere.
I have an external SSD that I am booting multiple OSes from.  Ubuntu and Mint load without error.
ArchLinux won't boot to a login screen.

I know my hardware is good (Mint and Ubuntu show this).

Posting in the newbie channel because I am an ArchLinux newbie.

Any tricks for other people trying to get GDM and Nvidia to work together?

Cinnamon - presents a login dialog.  I login and the login dialog reappears.  Never make it to the desktop.
Gnome - (same thing)
Gnome on Wayland - (same thing)
Gnome on Xorg (same thing)

Re: Problems with Nvidia and GDM.

That's a partial log from the install iso.

Yes, I'm reinstalling Arch Linux - that's probably why it shows a partial log from the install iso.

Re: Problems with Nvidia and GDM.

Ok, but that's useless - we'll need the data from the misbehaving system once you're there (and re-installing will usually achieve nothing, certainly not if you replicate the previous configuration)
