Hi everyone,
I recently updated to Firefox 144, and it completely ignores my chosen UI language. I’ve set my language (Italian) both in the preferences and in about:config
intl.locale.requested = it
installed
firefox-i18n-it
cleared caches
rm -rf ~/.cache/mozilla/firefox
even tried launching with
LANG=it_IT.UTF-8 firefox
– still everything stays in English.
Has anyone else experienced this with Firefox 144? Is it a known issue with the Arch build or a regression in Firefox itself?

Have you tried updating the language pack? It has happened to me before that I updated Firefox but the lang pack was not updated automatically. about:addons -> Languages -> Cog button -> Search for updates

https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/an … x-i18n-it/
language packs would also be shipped in the repos and will be built and published at the same time as the firefox package, you might want to ensure that is installed in lieu of manually updating/installing via the browser.

Removing the Italian language pack that I had previously installed manually solved the issue.
