Installing Printer Canon Imageclass MF465dw

Hello everyone,

I am trying to install my newly bought printer using Printers section "ADD printer" but unable to find suitable drivers. If  i try to print a page it is printing multiple pages with unreadable text. Please help me if anyone knows solution. Thanks

Canon i-SENSYS MF465dw support page indicates this printer uses UFR II/UFRII LT

If it's connected over network IPP everywhere is a good choice, but if it's a local printer try https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/cnrdrvcups-lb .

When i am trying to ADD it is showing "Failed to configure printer: Unable to connect to Canonaefcd5.local:631: Name or service not known".

Yes it is showing as IPP_Everywhere.

Do what?
You're supposed to nmap the host to check whether the port is open, closed or filtered.
The linked manual explains how to enable IPPe in the printer.

You'll have to install nmap with "pacman -S nmap" and then type in terminal "nmap  Canonaefcd5.local".

So where's that hostname coming from??

Try to scan the network for services and also to resolve"Canonaefcd5.local"

192.168.1.4 is the IP address of printer but avahi-browse not showing anything.
