my cursor has become multiple horizontal lines glitch. would not recommend upgrading to 6.5.0.
cursor is sometimes usable. the click area is the leftmost part of the glitch. selecting text and right clicking is buggy.
can disable then reenable the cursor to fix buggy behaviour with
$ modprobe -r psmouse
$ modprobe psmouse
i've noticed that the cursor glitch has been mentioned on kubuntu. i didnt check before upgrading.
partial output of $ kinfo is
Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.19.0
Qt Version: 6.10.0
Kernel Version: 6.17.4-arch2-1 (64-bit)

Same problem here with an AMD GPU. But it occurs only with wayland. So I will use the X11 session until it is fixed.

I do not experience this issue with an Nvidia GPU.

I'm having the same issue after the upgrade. My system has an old AMD GPU. The cursor at the login greeter screen is fine. With plasma, shaking the mouse to get the big cursor works, but after the timeout the small cursor remains corrupted. The modprobe sequence described above did nothing on my system.

Check the arch bug tracker under kwin, it's all explained there. I'm on mobile right now, so I don't the link.

The modprobe sequence is to fix cursor doing its own thing automatically (what I experienced with trying to right click and select text). It's not for fixing the glitch.
My cursor was glitched even at the greeter.
Should be fixed in 6.5.1 whenever that comes out.

I just updated and the cursor issue is resolved on my system. Looks like kwin 6.5.0-2 did the trick.
