I have a HIDPI monitor. If I leave it on for awhile it enters a refresh mode where it shuts the monitor down and brings it back up after cooling the monitor and refreshing pixels. There's a quick one that takes 15 minutes and another that takes several hours.
I just ran the quick one, and upon turning my monitor back on I noticed my keyboard did not wake back up. However, my mouse did. I'm trying to figure out if this is the kernel, Cinnamon, x11, etc. I'm guessing it has something to do with my specific keyboard vendor and the software stack for making everything possible.
I don't see anything in my dmesg, xorg, or journalctl logs that label a clear cause for my keyboard not waking back up. If this happens again what's the most efficient means of tracking down the cause?
