hey guys, long time arch user, first time poster. a while ago my video card went toast so i went by using only my AMD Radeon R7 A12-9800. i bought an Nvidia GeForce GT 710 mostly to use two monitors (i know this isn't a very good or recent card, but it's an upgrade nonetheless considering i wasn't using a working video card). after following this wiki article, along with this guide and installing nvidia-470xx-dkms, everything was working as expected until i tried some of the steam games i had installed and noticed only very few worked: out of all the games i tried i could only get worms armageddon and celeste to run, most of the others started launching but gave up halfway through. running steam on a terminal made me notice most games crashed after this part:
pid 68188 != 68187, skipping destruction (fork without exec?)i'm starting to run out of ideas as to what could be the issue. originally i had steam installed through flatpak so i uninstalled/reinstalled which didn't work, and after installing steam through pacman i still have the same issues. i'm pretty sure i installed the necessary drivers properly, everything else works fine. please let me know if there's any logs you want me to provide since i don't know where to start, and if someone has experiences with this card and arch please do chime in. maybe i'll have better luck switching to nouveau instead of using the old proprietary drivers?
(don't know if this info is necessary but the games i tried that didn't work were: Doom 64, Sonic Mania and Castle Crashers. like i said i know this card isn't very new or good but surely these games would work right?)

the r7 gpu in your a12-9800 is better than a gt710 so just use the gt710 as an output and use the r7 for the rendering.
sorry i cant help further as i dont use steam or multi monitor but plenty of others here will

that seems like a nice solution, how can i tell programs (steam in this case) to use the r7 instead of my gt710?
i'm stuck hooking up the two monitors to the g710 (both VGA but one with a VGA to HDMI adapter) since my motherboard only has one HDMI port, unless there's a way of mixing the two.
