Regression: Silent failure to create EFI boot entry from within chroot

[root@arch mnt]# bootctl install # Running on my installed system

Copied "/usr/lib/systemd/boot/efi/systemd-bootx64.efi" to "/boot/EFI/systemd/systemd-bootx64.efi".

Copied "/usr/lib/systemd/boot/efi/systemd-bootx64.efi" to "/boot/EFI/BOOT/BOOTX64.EFI".

⚠ Mount point '/boot' which backs the random seed file is world accessible, which is a security hole! ⚠

⚠ Random seed file '/boot/loader/random-seed' is world accessible, which is a security hole! ⚠

Random seed file /boot/loader/random-seed successfully refreshed (32 bytes).

Not booted with EFI or running in a container, skipping EFI variable modifications.

How is this supposed to be resolved?

Re: Regression: Silent failure to create EFI boot entry from within chroot

Hello,
please use code tags for your post.
Is this a real machine ? Booted in EFI mode ? Or is it a container ?

Please have a look at the wiki,
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/System … ot_manager
The box with the "Note" might help.

Also many efi machines might boot without the nvram entry, since bootctl uses default names: BOOTX64.EFI
