Linux does not know whatever you did in Grub to open an encrypted device. So yes, Grub will ask, then Linux (initrd, cryptsetup, ...) will also ask. Only way to get around that is to put the key directly in initrd.

Argon2 seems to work with latest Grub 2.14rc as well.
