Budgie Desktop Crashing

About 2-3 days ago. budgie started randomly crashing on me. After a few days I have finally figured out what causes the crashes. If i ever use middle mouse click to scroll on firefox by clicking down and moving the mouse around the screen, my screen goes black, kicks me back to the TTY saying "loading linux Linux", then goes back to my display manager. When I log back in the theme changes to a different theme I wasnt even aware was downloaded, and will switch between my regular theme and the other theme on subsequent crashes. Using the middle mouse button in any other context is fine, itsd specifically scrolling using it which is broken. Does anyone have, any clue what would cause this.

budgie-desktop 10.9.4-1
firefox 146.0
linux 6.18.arch1-1

Your system journal and https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Core_d … _core_dump will have.

Re: Budgie Desktop Crashing

Same issue. Disabled the feature in Firefox, for now.

Go to
about:config
Search for
widget.gtk.middle-click-enabled
Toggle to false

You can also just not use the middle button…

I'm having the same issue.  Looks like they're working on it.

Can confirm that this works as a temporary fix in the meantime.
