Can't set sampling rate on Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 4th gen

I recently bought a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 4th gen audio interface. I've disabled the MSD so that I have access to 192 kHz sampling rates. But for some reason programs like Ardour, Reaper, qjackctl are locked at 48 kHz. Audacity lets me choose sampling rates. I can force 192 kHz if I run pipecontrol before starting Ardour. Here is the output from asound:

ls /proc/asound
card0 card2 card4 devices Generic Headset modules pcm Snowball version
card1 card3 cards Gen HDMI hwdep oss seq timers

ls /proc/asound/card4
device-map.json.zz.b64 id pcm0c pcm0p stream0 usbbus usbid usbmixer
[af@andre-amd ~]$ cat /proc/asound/card4/stream0

This is with jack/pipewire, switching to ALSA in Ardour gives no output.

Finally, if I plug in my guitar in Ardour for example the sound from the guitar is completely garbled. I can make it go away if switch to ALSA and then back to JACK/Pipewire.
