[SOLVED kinda] Cinnamon: Broken locale, keyboard

After an update, Cinnamon stopped respecting the keyboard configuration I had setup with localectl.
Also, I can't seem to configure the settings withing Cinnamon either as the configure button is disabled (System settings -> keyboard -> layout.)
Also, Cinnamon ignores my loadkeys command in .bashrc.

I am using Xorg,  but apparently  have Wayland  installed due to some dependency  for some reason too.
Started Cinnamon via exec cinnamon-session.

Any tips?

Did  some digging.
Seems to be related to this issue  https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon/issues/13280

Yeah, it's an issue with Cinnamon itself.

Here's the workaround
https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon/i … 3675248888

put the settings in dconf, because cinnamon ignores localectl settings for whatever reason.
