This morning I upgraded my system like a good little boy, and now it is fardled. I saw the news article, but when I try install nvidia-580xx-utils I get this error at the end of the process:
:: nvidia-580xx-utils-580.119.02-2 and nvidia-utils-590.48.01-1 are in conflict (nvidia-libgl). Remove nvidia-utils? [y/N] Y
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: removing nvidia-utils breaks dependency 'nvidia-utils=590.48.01' required by lib32-nvidia-utils
-> error installing: [/home/me/.cache/yay/nvidia-580xx-utils/nvidia-580xx-utils-580.119.02-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst] - exit status 1

I was planning on playing a Steam game with an old friend tonight. I have about 3 hours to get this fixed. Uninstalling it is not an option.

You need to switch the lib32 package, too

I tried rolling back to the old `nvidia`, `nvidia-utils`, and `lib32-nvidia-utils` packages from the cache, rebooted, no joy.
After reboot I saw your post and am now trying:
`yay -S nvidia-580xx-dkms nvidia-580xx-utils lib32-nvidia-580xx-utils`
I wish they had been more explicit on the news article, or had a link to this info.

Halfway through I got this error.
:: nvidia-580xx-utils-580.119.02-2 and nvidia-utils-580.95.05-1 are in conflict (nvidia-libgl). Remove nvidia-utils? [y/N] Y
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: removing nvidia-utils breaks dependency 'nvidia-utils=580.95.05' required by lib32-nvidia-utils
:: removing nvidia-utils breaks dependency 'nvidia-utils=580.95.05' required by nvidia
-> Failed to install layer, rolling up to next layer.error:error installing: [/home/me/.cache/yay/nvidia-580xx-utils/nvidia-580xx-utils-580.119.02-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst] - exit status 1
But it carried on and then asked me to remove all three of the "standard" conflicts at once before completing, apparently successfully. Rebooting now.
