I have an LS-120 IDE floppy drive connected to my computer. The standard Linux kernel (but apparently not the Zen kernel) has an optional
floppymodule that can be loaded, but not
ide-floppy, which is needed to address LS-120 drives. I have never really needed to mess with my kernel before, so how would I go about getting the right version of this module (Googling it leads to links that are many years old) and installing it?
E: turns out I have bigger problems than that. Running lspci shows that it doesn't detect my IDE card, and Windows no longer shows A:\ when I boot into the Windows side of my PC. Looks like I might have to buy another IDE card...again. This must be what, number 3 that's bitten the dust?

Please edit the subject to reflect that this isn't about a kernel module but failing HW… and maybe migrate your data into this century ![]()
