pacman on linux mint

pacman on linux mint installing packages, well the reason im doing this is because i dont have an arch usb on me and my server is dead basically my nic has no antennas i had to throw it in the garbage, so im turning my x220 into a replacement server for a short amount of time

no pacman on mint is not a good idea but im working exclusively on a mountpoint except for thr image below

Re: pacman on linux mint

Arch users having to temporarily deal with another Linux distribution can use pacapt, a simple wrapper around other package managers.

Re: pacman on linux mint

Whatever pacman version you're using probably predates the sandbox support (6.x)?
I'm not sure what the plan is though - as long as pacman if happy w/ the local libc or your're using pacman-static you probably can shovel files on the system this way, but installing arch packages into some undisclosed version of mint is bound to run you into ABI/linker-name issues eventually…
