had problems today with Google ads blocking the pages from loading.
Can the ads script be forced to timeout instead of waiting?
Ads also force user to go to full screen 1024
Can the ads be made narrower?
Off to using Peanut and Slackware, no hard feelings but I need my CD to burn, PDA and scanner to connect and arch won't do it.

I've always suspected that running two single ad units side by side so that they can wrap at lower resolutions would work. ive never had a problem on my board though. interestingly enough i used the look of the AL site to inspire my page's layout.

i have had alot of problemsin the past three days with the speed of the forum. but i never checked out what was the cause. i know from past experience that ads or no phpBB can be very slow.

With Firefox, I haven't had any problems using the ad block code in userContent.css. I don't see the Google ads here or anywhere else, nor do I see most ads.
I got the code from: http://texturizer.net/firefox/adblock.html

Maybe the admins of the site could do a bit of work on the overall header tpl file? to make the heading more flexible. using div elements and floating them would more than likely do the trick. also, eliminating the top right element of the heading and replacing it with the logo would make everything look a bit nicer, a little less cluttered.
also, i feel that a 4 ad vertical unit on the right side of the forum gives a better cpm, and it sounds to me like bandwidth costs are hurting arch a bit. could help.
