Yesterday I bought a cheap, generic keyboard that I liked—small, thin, Bluetooth (the USB that came with it connects to the computer, and it sends the keyboard signal). The layout is BR (I'm Brazilian), but the keyboard simply doesn't work as it should. When I press Shift+6, it should print the circumflex accent, but it doesn't. It prints "¨". I don't know what to do anymore. I tried changing the layout, I tried using the compose key, and I failed miserably because the circumflex accent simply disappears (which makes me look like a semi-illiterate person typing). Please, what do I do to make this piece of junk work in ABNT2 or BR?
I believe the system is recognizing it in some form of BR and US, because accents, etc., are in different places, like (~ and `) where it should be (' "), (: ; ) where it should be (ç).

That's the nodeadkeys version of abnt2 - the keyboard in the linked image looks like it's regular US QWERTY?
Maybe try us-intl?
