Is there a good way to control laptop backlights on MSI pulse 15 B13V?

Hello,
I have been trying for a day now on how I can change the color on my laptop for some time now. So far I tried msi-keyboard, openrgb,using virtmanager and passing through the mystic light device, and tuxedo but none of them seem to work. Is there a good way to make this work? I found this github that could help:

I meant to type in that this is for the keyboard backlights my bad
