Apologies, am not near my work computer so can't share the exact trace, but since the python 3.14 update, informant is broken. Anyone figure out a workaround? If not I may mess with it later and submit a PR upstream.

Look at the pinned comment:
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/informant
Tip: Always look first at the comments if an AUR program isn't working.

Yep, saw that one, but it's from 2024 and the instructions didn't work for me this time around ![]()

The date doesn't matter, it's a principal
In this case, informant simply needs to be rebuilt against the newest Python version
A simple rebuild solved this for a user on archlinux.de (german).
Have you tried a rebuild? //Edit: And, of course, a re-install after a re-build
Or what current error message do you get after a rebuild? Myself don't use this, but maybe another one could help you...

I do it this way:
yay -S --answerclean ALL --rebuild informantSimilar with every package that depends on python.

Just rebuild all your installed python based AUR packages in a single one-liner with:
yay -S --answerclean=All --noconfirm $(yay -Qoq /usr/lib/python3.13) Offline
That did it! Thanks for the help.
