[Solved] Why kernel.org don't show latest kernel versions?

Currently in Arch official repo there are: linux-lts    6.12.66-1 kernel package and linux 6.18.6 in testing, but kernel.org don't show that versions yet. They always had new kernel versions at the same time or even earlier.

How can that be? Is something wrong with kernel.org? Maybe they have been hacked once more?

Perhaps less FUD? You didn’t even care to check the site itself, beyond looking at the big yellow button.

6.18.y: Release notes, git repo @kernel.org, mailing lists, corresponding commit in Linus’ mirror @GH
6.12.y: Release notes, git repo @kernel.org, mailing lists, corresponding commit in Linus’ mirror @GH

https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/ke … linux.git/

6.18.6 & 6.12.66 were added 22 hours ago, possibly the cdn that provides the info for homepage of kernel.org hasn't updated yet.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

Re: [Solved] Why kernel.org don't show latest kernel versions?

The commit was pushed less than 24 hours ago and it's the weekend, so I imagine some variation of Q&A point 6 from https://www.kernel.org/category/faq.html applies (the release tarball is already there, but maybe the frontpage upload is another step that gets some delay…?).

--edit Urgh, should hit 'preview' more often.

This delay occurred with previous release as well:

Re: [Solved] Why kernel.org don't show latest kernel versions?

OK, sorry for FUD. I just haven't noticed that delay earlier.

And I have seen https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel … Log-6.18.6 and https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel … og-6.12.66 earlier, but I was curious what do you say.

I will wait until last kernel versions will be on main site and mark this thread as solved.

Edit:
Now there are new kernel versions on kernel.org - I change this thread to solved.

For admins/moderators: you can delete this thread if you want.
