EDIT: Update because of the second release candidate.
Hello,
this version introduces massive changes since v1.5.4, thorough testing is crucial.
We want this version in the next Ubuntu LTS. Deadline: February 6 is two weeks before Canonical Ubuntu’s Debian Import Freeze on February 20.
Please help: test it and report any issues.

Thanks in advance,
Christian

It would help if there was an aur package for the release candidate.
Maybe testing https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/backintime-git would also help ?

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Hello Wolf,
yes, I think that the backintime-git AUR package reflects the release candidate and all additions (fixes) after I released the RC today.
