A month ago I tried to build bambustudio-git and eventually gave up. There are issues with cmake_minimum_required, gcc version incompatibilities, ffmpeg, etc.
The source seems very problematic to build. The build documentation on github also does not help much here since it is limited to few other distros only and even on those distros I doubt it works without hassle but to be fair, this is just my speculation. The previous PKGBUILD maintainer gave up too. Does anyone apart from bambustudio devs successfully build this from source and not just pack appimage or other binary build? Is this really open source software if they provide unbuildable source and non-reproducible binary builds on github?
