[SOLVED] Cursor too big on XWayland apps (Hyprland)

The only way I could get the desktop scaling of my HiDPI display on XWayland apps right was to use X resources as seen here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/HiDPI#X_Resources

But for some reason my cursor is bigger too.

I tried overwriting it with

env = XCURSOR_SIZE,14

in /home/flowey/.config/hypr/hyprland.conf

and with

Xcursor.size: 14

in /home/flowey/.Xresources

to no avail. Is there a better method for doing this?

Solution: I switched my cursor theme from "rose pine" to bibata and now it works
