No Icon when connecting a usbstick the 2. time

I'm using xfce4.4, with hal, dbus and kernel26ck (everything up to date - no packages from testing mirror) and when i connect my usbstick the first time, thunar creates an icon on the desktop and i can mount it by double clicking.
After disconnecting and connecting the usbstick the 2. time the icon does not appear anymore. It does not help to restart dbus, hal or thunar. Also I cannot find anything unusual in dmesg or any logs. The device /dev/sda1 is correctly created by udev with the correct rules.
I have exactly the same problem on my laptop (same setup).
Anybody an idea how to fix this issue?

Re: No Icon when connecting a usbstick the 2. time

I think i have a similar problem, but in KDE. The first time a plugin my USB stick, in the desktop an icon of USB memery appears. But the second, time, no.

I have noticed that the second time, that USB stick is recognized as an external HD, so doesn't appears in the desktop (i have configured that way). So i must go to the devices in konq or dolphin to have access to it.
