Does anyone know of a good GTK based font browser that doesn't have lots of GNOME deps? I like the GNOME character map application but don't like GNOME.

why does it need to be gtk? I just use xfontsel, but I understand it only shows one font size at a time.

Gnome Specimen looks very close to what I've been looking for. I'll give it a try and report back.
Edit: I suppose the GTK requirement is not really grounded in good logic. xfontsel is fine, but seems to not do antialiasing in the preview, which for some reason is important to me. Go figure.
