MP3 support in Amarok

So far I had been using Amarok with MP3 support enabled. On changing my sound card, suddenly it says it can't play MP3 files. Why ? I have xine engine only.

Re: MP3 support in Amarok

Are the correct audio modules being loaded for your new soundcard?  Which soundcard is it?  Which soundcard did you have before? How do you currently load your modules on boot (udev, compiled into your kernel, rc.conf, ... )?

Re: MP3 support in Amarok

xine engine is enough for playing mp3s with amarok. i don't think amarok is the problem
use alsaconf, let it autodetect the correct modules and hopefully it'll solve your problem

I don't know if it's the same problem you are having.
