Library Dependencies in Distrobox

Hello fellow human lifeforms,

i've been trying to install Studio One 6 by Presonus on Arch, since i already own a Key for this DAW and want to use it for now (i'm aware of the alternatives tho). Studio One 6 is only available as a .deb package (S1-7 is available in the AUR but sadly not S1-6). I've used debtap to transform this into a pkg.tar.zst file. When trying to install i can't get past library dependencies "libicu74" and "libjpeg8c". I've tried installing these specific packages, but that caused pacman to break.

After then reinstalling Arch, i tried installing in Debian and Ubuntu containers in distrobox. Sadly these dependencies persisted, and either the installation wouldn't start, or after installing the program wouldn't start up.
On CachyOS on the other hand, i can just install and run S1-6 in an Ubuntu container, no problem (but have the same library issues when trying to install natively).

Hence my question: Do you have an idea, why it works on Cachy but not on Arch? I'd like to switch back to Arch, but since S1 is for now vital for me, i can't.

Re: Library Dependencies in Distrobox

I've tried installing these specific packages, but that caused pacman to break.

How and how exactly?
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/icu74
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/libjpeg9 (you'd have to adjust the version and checksum)

Ifff that's not working:

tried installing in Debian and Ubuntu containers in distrobox. Sadly these dependencies persisted

The point of containers like https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Distrobox is to provide a nested filesystem to explicitly NOT rely on the lost libraries - how would those dependencies have prevailed? Are the relevant libraries not provided in the container? Were they in your cachy attempt? What's the difference about those containers?
