I just erased Win XP and put on Arch. I recently got an Iomega internal DVD burner, and I hope to use it to burn DVD's under AL. During the install, I choose the "2.6 IDE" kernel, instead of the "2.6 SCSI" kernel. Did I make a mistake?
I wanted to find out in case I have to re-install AL. Or should I be able to burn DVD's with the IDE 2.6 kernel?
thx!

You should be able to burn with the IDE kernel.
If you accidently installed one thing instead of another you really don't have to reinstall... just using pacman you can replace the old with new.
