Krita Enable Native Dialogs outside of KDE

Has anybody managed to toggle the Enable Native Dialogs option on Krita? Even before krita 6, enabling that option makes the native dialogs pop, but when I select something and submit my selection, krita simply hangs. I can resize the window and krita resizes to fit, indicating the actual program is not completely frozen, it simply got stuck trying to interpret the result of the native dialog.

I have xdg-portal-kde installed and the, and haven't touched any configuration
I'm on mangowm (wlroots 0.19), no login manager

Try xdg-desktop-portal-wlr instead.
