Looking for new Audacious package maintainer

Audacious in [extra] has no package maintainer anymore since Evangelos Foutras (foutrelis) has left.

How is it handled when a package becomes orphaned?
How is a new maintainer searched for in such a case?
Who is interested to update Audacious to 4.6 (recently released) and become the new package maintainer?
