Qsynth fails to create MIDI driver

Hello,

I'd like to use qsynth with jack, but when I try to start it I get :

Qsinth1: Failed to create the MIDI driver (alsa_seq).

No MIDI input will be available.

In the messages window I got:

01:25:14.969 Qsynth1: Creating MIDI router (alsa_seq)...
01:25:14.970 Qsynth1: Creating MIDI driver (alsa_seq)...
01:25:14.973 Qsynth1: Failed to create the MIDI driver (alsa_seq). No MIDI input will be available.
JACK tmpdir identified as [/tmp]
ALSA lib seq.c:936:(snd_seq_open_noupdate) Unknown SEQ qsyn
fluidsynth: error: Error opening ALSA sequencer

Thank you for your help.

Re: Qsynth fails to create MIDI driver

The problem persists with the new version 0.2.6-1

Does anybody get the same problem?

Re: Qsynth fails to create MIDI driver

Myself - using an M-Audio Audiophile 2496 soundcard.
It does *not* happen all the time- just randomly (but very frequently).
Muse/ Rosegarden work fairly well, which is the most annoying thing.
