[SOLVED] From ueberzug to ueberzugpp in vifm

Well, for this topic I feel I have the understanding of a newbie.
Excuses if wrong place though.

Hopefully somebody can help me a bit into the right direction.

https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/ueberzug/ Isn't working for months on my computer(s).
Reading info about it's status is not really hope giving.

https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/ueberzugpp/ seems more promising.
The github page presents ÜberzugPP as a drop in replacement for Ueberzug.

The old situation uses two scripts to be placed in the home folder.
Are there two counterparts?
I think they are presented as if on this page:
https://github.com/jstkdng/ueberzugpp/tree/master, below "Integration scripts":
What I got with trying fzf was previews in fzf. I don't want all these fuzzy functionalities (just vifm with image preview).

Feedback or a link to more information is welcome.

Re: [SOLVED] From ueberzug to ueberzugpp in vifm

What is the "old situation used two scripts" situation exactly? From what I can see vimlf should have integration already and ueberzugpp is a drop-in replacement for this usecase without having to change anything else about the current setup. what happens if you don't change anything else other than switching the package?

Good question. I don't know anymore what information was available on the wiki.vifm page (https://wiki.vifm.info/index.php?title= … iew_images) when I started with the use of uberzug.
My focus was on what is mentioned below Überzug. For now it is sure that I should have followed what is mentioned above "For a painless image preview integration visit the project vifmimg on Github.".

Thank you very much for pinpointing. This indeed seems very well worked out. Uberzug is working again.
