Fn Keys Not Working (Already checked other topics) [SOLVED]

Newly Bought with DOS
Installed Arch Linux using the archinstall command

#Problem

So after installing arch Linux and using the Minima Linux Repository on GitHub to setup Hyperland, I went ahead to try out my function keys. None of them worked, so i booted to BIOS and then Disabled Action keys. They still didn't work, and i tried checking with "wev" and saw the keys did trigger when i pressed them but didn't trigger if i held Fn to use them.

I tried to add this-

to hyprland.conf but it doesn't work, i then executed the following command

set acopi_osi "Windows 2012"

As instructed by one of the forums, but to no effect.

#Additional Info that might be helpful-

I have installed espanso, and it seems to open up with Fn+f1 after i disabled action keys and used to open with f1 before i disabled action keys.

Quick Update- Applications are now registering the keys after the forum command, but the main functions are not working.(mute, brightness, volume)

Using archinstall is not recommended for new users, although not forbidden. The other 2 things however make it very hard to help you.

Boot the archlinux installation iso.
How do function keys behave with and without the Fn key ?

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Ok so they behave perfectly normally, except a few of them (See wev response above, its exactly the same, those whic responded in wev responded in arch iso)

I did it to bind the keys that were responding

They work, but the LED seems not to

Can you please be more specific which key/binding doesn't work?
XF86MonBrightness* / brightnessctl ?
Does brightnessctl work on manual invocation?

So specifically the F12 + Fn Keybind is not working.
But its allright now i suppose, i did some tinkering with the hyprland file for a bit and got most of them to work.

Led for Fn+ F5 (Speaker Mute) and Fn + F8 (Mic Mute) don't work; thats probably a hardware-software compatability issue; the keys are giving their proper function however.

brightnessctl is working now, dw abt it; should probably close this post?

Hey there, I'm here.
So i actually managed to fix it.
here what i did (Wouldn't recommend this method)
I REINSTALLED arch Linux, this time using manual commands, not arch install; and chose KDE Plasma desktop; that fixed everything automatically.

iow you "fixed" your broken hyprland config by not using hyprland…
