Update issue with byobu - on 1 out of 2 Arch installations

The actual project is at https://github.com/dustinkirkland/byobu, but the corresponding AUR package is at https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/byobu

I'm currently on 19f04a0, and byobu starts successfully, but checking out any of the following commits, including the most recent one at the time of writing, b9b9c6e, results in byobu exiting immediately with exit status 1 and no output.

The crucial bit is that this is what happens on an Arch I've got on my workstation, but it doens't happen on the laptop, so I'm pretty sure the issue is on my end, and I'd like some help finding out what, so I can fix it.

Does is happen w/ a fresh user (ie. some local config/cache is culpable)?
