[Solved] Bug in inn 2.7.4-2

I run a news server with inn. I use CNFS as the storage method.

After the upgrade:

upgraded inn (2.7.4-1 -> 2.7.4-2)

the CNFS storage seems to be missing:

innfeed[25928]: ME config: no definition of news-spool, and /var/spool/news/articles is no good

Downgrading to 2.7.4-1 fixes the problem immediately.

It’s difficult for me to submit a bug report because I don’t have a GitLab account.

Re: [Solved] Bug in inn 2.7.4-2

Please check that systemd-tmpfiles hook succeeded (systemd-tmpfiles --create /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/inn.conf)

On my installation I needed to change files ownership to root manually, after that systemd-tmpfiles executed successfully

Also /var/spool/news moved to /var/spool/inn, so you need to move files

Re: [Solved] Bug in inn 2.7.4-2

Everything is working again now. On my server, /var/spool/news is a mount. That's why a few extra steps are necessary. Here's my approach:

Stopping the running innd.service an upgrading it:

# pacman -Syu
:: Synchronizing package databases...
 core is up to date
 extra is up to date
:: Starting full system upgrade...
resolving dependencies...
looking for conflicting packages...

But it fails with:

It seems to me that the path is also included in cycbuff itself. But I'd like to keep them.

-> Changing /etc/fstab: /var/spool/inn /var/spool/news none bind 0 0

innd is now running as before, without any errors.
