cloning an existing Arch setup

I've successfully cloned an existing Arch installation onto a new computer more than once (thanks, Arch developers!), but the last time was probably 6 or more years ago so (a) I've forgotten the details and (b) I suspect the process may be easier now than it was then.

I'm looking for hints to do this as smoothly as possible. Please assume as background that the current Arch system is up-to-date via "pacman -Syu"; that my home directory contains a lot of material that I'd like to copy over verbatim; and that my selection of packages is carefully "curated" such that I'd like to establish the same selection on the new machine.

I suppose I should start by downloading the current Arch ISO and installing from that. Beyond that point I'd be very grateful for any suggestions on the best way to proceed.
