I have been having tonnes of audio issues on arch with it only very infrequently working. I have been troubleshooting this for a while.
It seems like pipewire will either crash or lose connection to the front-end or something. The kde plasma audio settings will say that the "connection to the sound service will be lost" the ui will become unresponsive in the widget and allow selecting multiple things without updating on the screen and eventually stop working. I thought maybe it was an issue with my audio interface because i use an Arturia Minifuse 2 but even with that unplugged it will not function. sometimes very infrequently it will work though. It will fail to reconnect when i retry.
This is on a first gen zephyrus g14 laptop btw.
I have troubleshooted a bunch and i don't really have any more ideas and i haven't seen anyone else have this issue so help would be very appreciated. This happens on a fresh install too.

Make sure you aren't mixing wireplumber and pulseaudio and symptoms read like the kind of stuff that would happen in this case
hostnamectl
printenv
sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/*
systemctl --user status pipewire{,-pulse} wireplumber pulseaudio
sudo dmesg | grep -E 'snd|sof'post all the outputs of this in

tags

Looks fine and nothing inherently out of the ordinary, but since this is apparently quite a fresh boot, have you reproduced whatever errors that happen in this instance already?
