Surface Laptop 3, touchscreen not detected

I was following the installation instructions on the Surface Laptop Github; when I got to the touchscreen step, things weren't working. I ran the

sudo iptsd-calibrate $(sudo iptsd-find-hidraw)

command and got the output

[21:50:03.989] [warning] iptsd-find-hidraw is deprecated, please use iptsd-foreach
[21:50:04.011] [info] No devices found
DEVICE is required
Run with --help for more information.

I know the command says it is deprecated, but I'm more concerned with why it says there are no devices found for touchscreen.

I was confused because my touchscreen still worked when I was on Windows; I am unsure why it is now not working. My touchscreen works in the UEFI menu but I didn't see any options to enable/disable the touchscreen in said menu.

Any help would be appreciated!
