Hi,
It's been several days I have several issues with kicad, even after downgrading to kicad 10.0.6-2, it's 'working' more or less but it's impossible to create a new project, it crash instantly.
As for stm32cubemx it produces what I call 'matrix effects' i.e bad colors and those artefacts when moving the window, I had to take a picture with my phone cause when I copy the picture from the clip board of 'Spectacle' it render just fine.
Also it's fun to mention that even the spectacle preview is getting the same artefacts i.e it's own artefacts when I move the spectacle window ...
I have tried all kicad verisons from 10.0.5-3 to 10.0.7-2 none of those works fine.
https://i.postimg.cc/RVG0CTLn/image.png … c/8jJGtM31
I can reproduce the same effect with kicad with the following command
GDK_BACKEND=x11 kicad
https://i.postimg.cc/MKfsqsSh/image.png … c/JGm3Q5tq
I have tried the flatpack version of kicad too, same problem.
I'm really out of ideas, if you guys have the same problems or any suggestions to fix this, i'm listening !

Looks more like some corrupted texture than a crash as in https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=315193

Hi thanks for your answer.
I don't know, for kicad it's not only graphical, when I try to create a new project, the app completly close without any error message, if launched from command line nothing is displayed either.
For stm32cubemx however it's completly graphical, those problems were not there few days ago.
And yes I think I was running KDE/X11 before.

Yes I'm using this package.
Indeed I see there are a lot of comments these last few days I'll check it out.
In the mean time I have found something interresting, kicad 10.0.6-2 no longer crash when I start it with
taskset -c 0 kicad meaning I can create new project BUT colors are wrong once I'm in the schema canvas ...
Also I don't know if it's relevant or not but in this configuration (taskset -c 0), I see this in the output
MESA-EGL: warning: pci id for fd 38: 10de:1b81, driver (null)

Yes I'm using this package.
No, you're not.
You maybe have it installed, but that's not the same.

Well, the kernel module is there (and actually kwin_wayland uses the nvidia driver)
Please replace the oversized images w/ links again (the board has a 250x250 px rule to limit scrolling) and post
eglinfo -Band your xorg log (though at least kicad 10.0.7 is supposed to use a native wayland client)

"GDK_BACKEND=x11" will make any version use xwayland.
If you're looking for the location of the Xorg log, see https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xorg#General - there's clearly a problem with that.
