KDE specific: Broadcasts on shutdown

This is specific to KDE for the last while since the wayland conversion.
I have LXDE/OpenBox on the same nachine and this does not show up under those DEs.

On KDE DEs, when you shutdown/reboot it broadcasts ( I assume "wall") that the machine is shutting down/rebooting,
depending on which one you select.

My question:  Is there a KDE specific way that this can be silenced?

Let me know.

Re: KDE specific: Broadcasts on shutdown

BTW, You can suppress these broadcast messages
on restart/reboot in KDE with the following mod;

edit /etc/systemd/logind.conf and insert;

WallMessages=no

this does not however explain why the broadcast only occurs in KDE
and not other desktop environments... roll
