splash screen in open office, gnucash, etc

The splash screen in open office, gnucash, and other applications are really annoying especialy in old systems where it takes lot of time to start and you cannot do other things with that splash thing on your face. I have seen that this does not happen in kde. Is there a way to disable it in xfce4?

/opt/openoffice/program/sofficerc

Change the logo from 1 to 0. Google told me. I did not test it.
