cdrdao no write as user

Hi guys,
Ive just installed cdrdao and tried to blank a disk using cdrdao blank --device /dev/cdrom
This didnt work as a normal user, but it did as root.

Ive added myself to the optical group, and still no luck.

Any ideas?

Thanks

you should be in "optical" group. try usermod -G optical username, logout, login.

Logging out and in again should usually do it, though. Does anyone else have such problems?
