Anyone got kernel 2.6.20 and acx working together yet?
Or are there any workarounds to get wifi working?

Hey other acx users this looks promising:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … +bug/78513
Does that mean it works?

I have such a card lying around. I don't use it anymore (no WPA), but I can test it.

So I tested the kernel26 2.6.20.6-3 with arch networkscripts and gnome network manager, kernel still panics immediately after connecting to wifinetwork.
From ubuntu thread:
I just did a apt-get dist-upgrade that boosted my kernel to 2.6.20-9. I don't have to manually load the kernel module anymore after each boot - the wifi card works automatically now.
I can confirm that, no need to put acx in modules anymore it finds it automatically.
Are the kernel names same in ubuntu and arch? What I mean that do i need to wait till arch current 2.6.20.6-3 reaches that 2.6.20.9 which they report to work?

I have a WIFI network adapter with acx chip. Had the same problem - linux just froze after initializing the acx kernel module. This happened with the modules from unstable.
However, I solved this problem by downloading the necessary files (PKGBUILD+acx.install and the source) and compiled them myself. The URL specified in the PKGBUILD doesn't exist anymore - download the source before compiling. After installing and rebooting it just worked.
Maybe I'm missing a step cuz a played around quite alot when I noticed that problem, but I am very sure that just recompiling the kernel-module fixed my problems.
Hope it helps.
(I would upload my pkg but unfortunatelly I don't have a server)

updated, should work.
Indeed it does, thanks every1 for help. And big thanks for this driver!
I dunno why i got confused thinking it was kernel problem and not driver one, guess one should not read ubuntu forums
PS. no need to load acx on modules anymore, it gets autodetected. really 2bad gnome networkmanager doesn't work with acx. rc.conf menu aint too elegant for laptop ^^
