gtk seems unstable

I did an upgrade a couple of days ago and since then evolution and ekiga have become unstable, both crashing a couple of times a day. The bug report when they crash always mentions gtk.

I've just been trying to track down a fix for gnucash not working and a solution to that mentions api changes in gtk, could this be related?

Is anyone else experiencing issues like this or should I just wait till the next release of things and hope that stability returns?

Re: gtk seems unstable

No problems here, works fine.
GTK is backward compatible, there are no problems with older code. The new versions introduce new functionality, but don't touch the old one. So the API changes, but never for old functionality, which is already in GTK.
