synchronization tool

Hi,

i just got a laptop. Just before I had only a static workstation. Now I have to choose where I will have my documents and it is a little difficult.

So I'm asking if someone knows some synchronization tool. Something that will let me have my files on both computers but will only let me modify them on one computer (on the other, they would be read only). And of course it sould be able to tell me what files are added so I can copy them on the other computer.

Do you know something that already do that ? Of course I can create it but if there is already something that exists for that, if would be a waste of time.

Thank you, I should have looked at the wiki before. But I didn't thought there could be something there.
Anyway, I'm looking unison and even if there is no lock mechanism, it looks great.
