Missing wireless.h include file

Hi all,
I'm trying to compile Xsupplicant (both from AUR, and manually), but it fails with this error message:

checking for iwlib.h... no
configure: error: header file <iwlib.h> is required for Xsupplicant

Of course, i have kernel-headers, and iwlib.h is in /usr/include, but somehow configure script doesn't see it. I tried setting CPPFLAGS to "-I/usr/include", but it didn't help.
Any ideas are welcome...

Re: Missing wireless.h include file

pacman -S wireless_tools

as for x supplicant, what's wrong with wpa_supplicant?

Allready have that, and it's not working still.

I'm in a dorm, and we were told to use Xsupplicant (and given configuratino files) for our (non wireless) network. Now that you mention it, I'll give it a try.
Thanks.

ah, if you're given configuration files, that's easy enough, wpa_supplicant offers equivalent support, and seems to be the more widespread and preferred solution.

Replying to this using wpa_supplicant with no problem! smile
Got the thing working and starting on boot in matter of minutes. What a sweet distro, and what helpful community wink.

Thanks once more.

Re: Missing wireless.h include file

I need to connect to a PEAP network. Can someone explain the difference to me, between wpa_supplicant and xsupplicant?

Thanks,
