Can anyone confirm this bug OOo writer:
1. create a heading or two. I used heading 1.
2. insert table of contents (TOC)
headings are shown automatically, so far all ok
3. modify headings to use numbering
4. update TOC
all listings in TOC dissapear and can't be restored whatever I do
I have openoffice-base 2.2.0-3

I use the contents function quite frequently and it works well here. But since I use the german version, I maybe misunderstand point 3. What do you mean by "use numbering"? Can you give some more details?

I tried your example (the best I could) on Arch 64 and the TOC updated properly.

Thanks. I don't know what exactly was the problem, but after I removed ~/.openoffice.org2 it worked. Probably some backwards compatibility issue with user configuration.

I have had this with documents originally created in word format before. I don't have one at the moment, but I will try clearing the local oo dir if I see it again. Thanks for the reminder.
