I'm sorry for posting another question concerning usb sticks. I've done an extensive search in this forum but I got no answers to my problem.
I try to get my usb stick working and I just made it. I could mount it and use it for a short time, but now I can not mount it anymore. Now I got the message
"special device /dev/sda1 does not exist"
I'm using kernel 2.6.3, the module usb_storage is loaded and my fstab lokks like this:
/dev/sda1 /mnt/usbdrive vfat,ext2 user,auto 0 0
I tried to mount the drive /dev/sda like it was said in another post, but that didn't work either.
I think, the problem began, when I tried to set up cups with my usb printer, but I'm not sure.
It would be nice, if someone could help me with this problem.
2. It seems that you are missing the scsi-modules: modprobe sd_mod should do the trick
I always overlook the small things.
I apologize for that stupid question.
there are no stupid questions just stupid answers
And everything in a forum must be said before it can be searched
