I have a strange problem which has happened several times about each month. I am not able to identify the cause.
The file /etc/mime.types distributed with mutt is suddenly corrupted: all the lines are attached in a unique line. I do not know when actually this happens, because I realize it has happened when someone is unable to open the pdf files I send (they are encoded as text files).
This has happened to me only in arch and several times. Am I the only one? Could someone imagine a possible cause? What can parse a file so that its lines are conjoined in a unique file? Thanks for your help.
I am using the version of mutt actually in current. My email system is constituted by getmail+procmail+mutt+esmtp, but I do not think that anything except mutt should use that file. No other file in my system seems to be corrupted analogously.
