dhcpcd failing after update

not sure as to the root cause of this, but after a recent update & restart my computer as been unable to access my network. after a /etc/rc.d/network (re)start I get the following error message -

::Stopping Network       [Done]
::Starting Network         [BUSY]
/sbin/dhcpcd invalid option -- S
usage: dhcpcd [(here it spits out the usage options, no need to type it all out, i'm assuming)]
                                          [FAIL]

any help would be much appreciated...

regards/thanks,

Re: dhcpcd failing after update

Why did you put -S in /etc/conf.d/dhcpcd? It was never there per default and the current manpage doesn't mention it.

Re: dhcpcd failing after update

Just checked mine to confirm..
Version:  current/dhcpcd 3.0.17-1

confirmed on my end also.. no -S option specified in /etc/conf.d/dhcpd

Re: dhcpcd failing after update

thanks for the replies, just edited /etc/conf.d/dhcpcd deleting the -S, network now works.
